Born and raised in India, Shyam now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and their two children. A former Creative Director, he has worked at some of the world’s best ad agencies across the globe. His advertising work has garnered several prestigious awards at Cannes, The Clios, D&AD, One Show, CA Annual, and more. He came to directorial prominence when he won the Kodak New Director of the Year Award at Cannes Advertising 2006. The same year SHOOT magazine in the US and SHOTS magazine in UK named him one of the top new directors to watch. His commercial directorial work has won several awards and his series of short films for The Ritz Carlton Hotels was featured on CNN, FOX News, MSNBC and The Wall Street Journal for its innovative new thinking in branded content. Shyam is an avid graphic and furniture designer in his spare time. He is also one hell of a poker player and is ranked on the Cardplayer website.
